Welcome to the First Faith & Human Flourishing Global Summit
Why Focus on Faith and Spiritual Practices?
While 84% of the global population practices faith, the effects of faith have never been realized through the measurement of physiological signals outside of a laboratory setting. Growing consensus supports the idea that well-being must be connected to biological mechanisms. Therefore, emerging wearable neurotechnologies will allow the effects of faith-based practices to be monitored in relation to human flourishing or the state of optimum human functioning. The unrealized benefits of this new paradigm in faith and neurotechnology will bring about shifts to the $6.8 trillion wellness industry.

Neurotechnology is rapidly moving from the laboratory into clinical and everyday settings, reshaping how we understand the brain, mental health, identity, and human potential. Yet, as tools such as brain computer interfaces and neural monitoring systems advance, their ethical, cultural, and existential implications remain underexamined. At the same time, faith and religion shape the lives of billions worldwide. While other efforts attempt to understand the effects of faith on human flourishing through surveys, we propose wearable neurotechnologies that measure physiological signals. By bringing together scholars, clinicians, technologists, ethicists, and religious leaders, the conference aims to advance research and dialogue that promotes responsible innovation and supports human flourishing.

Event Organizers
Faith and Human Flourishing Global Summit will be coordinated by members of the BRAIN Center and United in Diversity.

The BRAIN Center is an international organization devoted to developing safe, effective, and affordable personalized neurotechnologies to diagnose, restore, enhance, and rehabilitate sensory, motor, affective, and cognitive functions. Through interdisciplinary research on brain function and behavior, the Center aims to improve human health and quality of life.
